Linda Freybler CEO Linda@battlecreekvisitors.org Linda is responsible for the general direction, management and policy oversight of the CVB and all of its human and capital resources. Linda has over 20 years of experience including 15 years with the Kellogg Company. She has a Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from Michigan State University.
Shannon Rose Director of Business Services srose@battlecreekvisitors.org Ensuring the business side of the CVB runs smoothly, Shannon handles all accounting functions and provides technical support. Shannon serves as Board Liaison and Recording Secretary for the CVB Board of Directors, as well as assists with other duties including coordination of office services, equipment, visitor services and volunteers. Shannon has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a minor in Accounting from Western Michigan University. She is currently pursuing her CDME (Certified Destination Management Executive) through Destination Management Association International (DMAI).
Jodi Bowen Director of Communications Jodi@battlecreekvisitors.org Jodi handles all facets of communications and marketing including website development and maintenance, media relations, advertising and social media. She also oversees the Calhoun County Visitor Guide, special projects and community events. Jodi has a Bachelor’s degree in Advertising and Public Relations from Grand Valley State University.
Dawn Whitcomb , CMP Director of Sales & Services Dawn@battlecreekvisitors.org Dawn helps to make event planning easy and is ready to welcome your group to Calhoun County. Promoting the area as a destination for sporting events, meetings, conventions and trade shows, she works to bring events to Calhoun County and helps to ensure attendees and planners have an excellent experience. Dawn has an Associate’s degree from Kellogg Community College. She has earned the Essentials of Meeting Planning certification from Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and is on the Board of Directors for the Michigan Chapter of MPI.
Christy Chapin Information Specialist Christy@Battlecreekvisitors.org Wonder what’s going on in the community and when? Christy has all the answers. She focuses on welcoming visitors and answering questions and maintaining the calendar of events. Christy also orders office supplies, schedules group tours and requests brochures to keep the CVB office in demand and prepared to welcome every visitor.Christy has an Associate’s degree from the University of Phoenix in Psychology and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s of Human Services degree.

Shannon is here to help by coordinating overnight accommodations and golf tee times through Michigan’s Southern Swing. Shannon also works in the CVB office greeting visitors, distributing brochures throughout the community and staffing welcome tables for conventions and events. Shannon earned her Bachelor's degree at Western Michigan University.
Becca Freybler Marketing Intern Becca@battlecreekvisitors.org Becca works on a variety of marketing-related projects including: creating and updating website content, updating the sales database and creating print materials. She also works in the CVB office greeting visitors, distributing brochures throughout the community and staffing welcome tables for conventions and events. Becca is a marketing student at Michigan State University.
